Test Site Projects is an artist-run fine art publishing house. Adjacent to the 18b Arts District and historic downtown Las Vegas, Test Site Projects produces limited edition fine art multiples with locally and nationally recognized artists. By connecting artists to a new collector base, producing unique edition projects, and hosting public programs, Test Site Projects seeks to enrich the vibrant Las Vegas art community by creating a platform for contemporary printmaking. Test Site Projects was founded by Erik Beehn and RC Wonderly.
Erik Beehn is an artist currently living and working in Las Vegas. Beehn has a history in printmaking, trained as a master printer for Gemini G.E.L., a fine art publishing house located in Los Angeles where he helped to produce projects for several artists, including Richard Serra, Ann Hamilton, Ed Ruscha, and Ellsworth Kelly. Beehn received both his MFA and BFA from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. His work employs process as a form of content, investigating an arc of mark making throughout the 20th century, and the evolution of observational painting into abstraction. Beehn explores representation through the use of found imagery raising questions of authorship and beauty within the history of painting in relation to todays JPEG circulating world.
RC Wonderly is an artist who uses humble materials to create his work. His minimalist work is rooted in the relationship between the two and three dimensional, with a focus on the materials – hardwood flooring, plywood, sheetrock and the process. Wonderly received his BFA ('06) from the University of Dayton, Ohio, the same year he won the first place award for sculpture in the Las Vegas Art Museum’s Round Up and received an artists fellowship award from the Vermont Studio Center. He has shown his work in numerous solo and group shows. Wonderly is currently pursuing his MFA in creative writing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
